LaCie Big Disk Extreme
LaCie Big Disk Extreme 500g is not being recognized by Dell server running Windows Server 2003. This is after reboot because the system locked up. After a search it seems these drives are prone to failure. It appears that the controller on the drive is intermittently failing. The Western Digital drives were removed and appear to be fully functional. Lacie Big Disk controllers appear to be causing allot of problems but Lacie provides no solutions.

LaCie is an overpriced crap. I have Bigger Disk 1.6TB. Not only does it not allow JBOD settings, it has permanent reconnect errors due to bad firmware, which Oxford and LaCie do not intend to fix.
